CHONGQING, China — Chongqing Wholechaintech Automotive Components Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Wholechaintech"), a leading manufacturer of multi-purpose commercial vehicle bodies and automotive sheet metal components, has successfully concluded a company-wide Safety Training and Fire Prevention Campaign aimed at reinforcing safety protocols across all production lines and office areas.
The three-day initiative, which ran from June 12 to June 14, 2026, covered over 30 employees across the company's manufacturing facility in Chongqing. The program combined classroom-style safety briefings, hands-on fire drill exercises, and emergency evacuation simulations, designed to equip every team member with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to workplace hazards.
"Safety is not just a compliance checkbox — it is the foundation of everything we do," said Zhou, General Manager of Wholechaintech. "In a manufacturing environment where we operate robotic welding systems, laser cutting machines, electrostatic painting lines, and heavy-duty bending equipment, a single safety lapse can have serious consequences. This training ensures that every employee, from the workshop floor to the management office, understands their role in maintaining a safe workplace."
A major highlight of the campaign was the dedicated fire safety training segment, which addressed the specific risks present in automotive parts manufacturing. Employees received instruction on proper handling of flammable materials used in the painting and surface treatment processes, including the company's electrophoretic coating (e-coating) and powder spraying lines — both of which involve combustible chemicals requiring strict fire prevention measures.
Fire extinguisher operation drills were conducted on-site, with each participant required to demonstrate correct usage of dry chemical and CO₂ extinguishers. The training also covered fire blanket use, emergency exits, and assembly point protocols.
"Fire is one of the most serious threats in our industry," noted the company's Safety Officer. "Our facility houses chemical storage areas, high-temperature equipment, and electrical systems that demand constant vigilance. Regular drills like this are not optional — they are essential."
Beyond fire safety, the training program placed strong emphasis on production safety best practices tailored to Wholechaintech's specific equipment and workflows. Topics included:
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for robotic welding arms and press brake machines
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance — mandatory use of welding helmets, safety goggles, cut-resistant gloves, and steel-toe boots
Safe material handling for sheet metal and heavy-duty trailer components, including proper lifting techniques and crane operation protocols
Emergency response for chemical spills, electrical faults, and machinery entrapment
Housekeeping standards to prevent slips, trips, and falls in the workshop environment
The company's recently upgraded facility, equipped with advanced robotics and automated material handling systems, presents new safety challenges that require updated training approaches. The program introduced interactive hazard identification exercises, where employees were asked to spot potential risks in simulated workshop scenarios.
Wholechaintech's safety initiative is part of a broader commitment to industry-leading safety standards. The company already holds Tier-1 supplier qualification for major domestic and international OEMs, a status that demands rigorous safety compliance across all operations.
