WholeChainTech is currently manufacturing a custom firefighting trailer at its Chongqing factory — a specialty vehicle project that reflects the company's growing capability in purpose-built trailer bodies beyond standard dry vans. Production is in full swing, with body fabrication and assembly underway on the workshop floor.
Firefighting trailers operate under very different conditions from a standard cargo trailer. They must carry emergency response equipment — pumps, hose reels, tool cabinets and water-carrying components — through rough terrain and demanding response scenarios. That calls for a structurally reinforced body, dedicated and compartmentalized storage, equipment mounting points engineered for the specific hardware, and a body finish that holds up under frequent outdoor use and wash-down.
The project in the workshop is built entirely to the customer's own specifications: dimensions, compartment layout, equipment anchoring points and exterior finish were all confirmed against the client's detailed requirements before fabrication began. The photo below shows the body being lifted and aligned by overhead crane during the assembly stage, with the team checking fit and weld quality at each step.
The firefighting trailer project is part of a broader pattern at WholeChainTech. The factory's core strength has always been customization: truck bodies and trailers are engineered around the customer's payload, mounting requirements and operating environment rather than around a fixed catalog. Typical customization includes body length and height, side door configurations, internal racking and tie-down points, reinforcement for heavy equipment, and material selection — including lightweight honeycomb panel bodies for payload-sensitive applications.
Such custom work requires close engineering communication before cutting steel, which is why WholeChainTech treats every specialty project as a collaborative design process rather than an off-the-shelf order.
The project moved back into full production immediately after China's National Day holiday (October 1–7), with the team resuming normal output on October 8. Delivery timelines for this project and the broader order book remain on plan.
